Kaylyn Thornal is an award-winning writer, producer, director and editor, who’s history is deeply rooted in music.  She formed Parachute Dream Productions in 1994.  Her first independent feature documentary, Payoff (1999) followed the roller-coaster lifestyles of several women musicians through 4 turbulent years of label & radio air-play ups and downs. Payoff won several awards and screened at art houses nationally.   She’s also directed, produced and edited a flurry of music videos, as well as shot the New England dates for Lilith on Top, (dir. Sixteen Blue is currently producing a docu-series featuring multi-platinum songwriter Kara Dioguardi titled SongSTRESS, as well as a game show featuring rock musicians, actors and comics titled Celebrity, and are developing a documentary series on the late Ike Turner and his enigmatic family, featuring his last ever performances, recordings and interviews.

Thornal has also been writing, producing and editing a documentary on the life and history of Rav Phillip Berg and his family (currently untitled), who brought Kabbalah to America and who continue to run the Kabbalah Centre in Los Angeles.  She has also recently produced and edited promotional material for Donna Karan, Ricky Martin and Madonna for the non-profit organization Sprituality for Kids.
